Reserves 1-1 Sleaford Town

Lincolnshire League

Report by Colin Woodcock

The United Reserves dropped their first points of the season in a dour battle with neighbours Sleaford Town. With a very strong side, the United Reserves dominated the first half and should have gone into the interval with a healthy lead, but bad finishing, excellent goalkeeping and some rugged defending saw the half finish without any goals. Two minutes after the interval, KIWOMYA saw his shot cannon off a defender's leg into the net.

Despite constant pressure the home side could not find the net again and this allowed the visitors to come back into the game with a tremendous shot from 20 yards that went just under the bar. Despite more pressure Sleaford held firm for a share of the points.
