What are they going to do Pete, undo his belt to let his gut drop down, I'm sure Akinfenwa can get a job rolling the tennis courts at Wimbledon.

On the subject of play-off winners and as far down as the Ryman league, ours was the only one where the highest placed club won through.
United we stand..................

Been a real downer of a season nationwide for moaners , many pilgrim fans were happy to reach play-offs , after we kept being reassured by our moaners that we would not make it .

Barnsley make it to the Championship after being bottom of the league at Christmas . how big a humble pie that must have had been ?

Plymouth was another interesting one ,  although they lost in the play-off final it was a great feat for the manager to get them there .  Like Greene he ignored the advice of fans proclaiming  "loanee,s are no good " and finished to run in with 7 of the sqaud loanees .

A couple of 'Boston United moments' towards the end of the match. A great save by Luke McCormick from an Akinfenwa header & then Akinfenwa scoring from the penalty. McCormick was on-loan to us from Plymouth, but I think made just the one appearance (away Notts County?)
That was before he was involved in the motorway incident which him serve time in prison. The incident on the M6 saw McCormick involved in an accident which resulted in a father & his young son being killed. McCormick was heading back south after attending David Norris' wedding near Bolton.

I think McCormick also played in the game where we threw away a 2-goal lead late on at home to Bristol Rovers.
