Seems he was set to join Nuneaton but we offered more money.
Still I hope he has hot over his injury and will be fully fit!

It reads as though we offered him a contract out right while Nuneaton wanted him to prove his fitness first before committing to a firm offer.

Hopefully he's over his injuries and not another Matt Wilson

We have cheap backup in Vince (16), Nuttell (17), Reed (18) and Sanders (18?) - this probably allows us to spend a bit more on the 1st XI.

I'm still wondering who out of Mills, Milnes and Ross will be the 2 first choice central midfielders, assuming we play 4-4-2?

Surely its a case of he will be more important to us than Nuneaton, therefore given that we're clubs of similar size (and money restrictions) that we were able to give him a chunk of our first team cash where as Nunny couldn't as it might be needed elsewhere to strengthen for the division above.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Could also just be down to the nunny boss not wanting to take the gamble so wanted him on very low money until he proved, doesnt have to meen we are paying more than they would, more the fact that we may have just decided to get on with it from the off

Yeah similarly the Nuneaton boss might just be implying we're offering silly money when we're not (just a contract from the off) so that he doesn't lose face for being outbid for someone by a team from the league below.
