Or even Stamford, or perhaps Tattershall Road, or even the rugby club - but only for a short period!

Why would 'groundshare  be for a 'little time ' .
New grounds don't build or fund or plan themselves  overnight !
Things may hinge on reaching  an agreement with the Malks'  over the onerous rent rent payments ..which I wouldn't put  better  than 50 / 50  . .

Can someone please confirm as fact that the rent was nearly not paid prior to Saturdays game or is all this speculation down to hearsay of a third party. ???

No, sorry for any offence there, the fact is though there are people out there who will expect them to keep up the handouts.

Yes the housing market is no longer a bottonless pit of cash, even for up to standard, funcional houses with  design awards.

The Malkies kept giving the handouts for years, I bet they wished they hadn't now  :o

Without confirmation from someone official at the club that is all this is.  It does happen to be a third party I trust to get it right though.  So I'm putting it on here with the hope that people can come to their own conclusions about the matter.

Thanks PoB. Whatever the source at least it has made us aware how precarious things are. We do need to be told otherwise we just carry on thinking things are ok. The other positive from this is also to remind us how fortunate we are to have Mr Newton at the helm. It also highlights the need to get out of the clutches of the land owners. It can't be nice to subsidise a club for many years and then to be slagged off and verbally abused by everyone who still cares about the club. And just a note for the owners, if you were to be a bit more considerate to the finances of the club perhaps you would get the land back much quicker, unless of course your determination is Not to get the land but to destroy the club. You would have got the land back sooner if you hadn't asked for more rent, you have just made it a bit more difficult for relocation by robbing the bank.

It could be that the 'Bank' is getting closer to becoming the land owner Sb

Following the Trust meeting today DN has stated that the rent was paid on time.
Nice to have a chairman/board who will clarify these things. Thank you, DN.
