Because we've got very few players you can ask to do any job, and they'll do it.  Every WC squad has a few Milner/Jones types to fill the gaps if something goes wrong.

I still think I'd play him over Johnson at Right back, nearly less likely to drop a clanger.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Milner had a mare tonight! He gave the ball away too many times and against a decent side it could be costly!
Is he related to Raynor?

A lot of England fans took Gary Neville for granted for so long. How we wish for one as good as him right now

I always liked Simon Raynor - good goalkeeper who did a decent job for us on loan under Tommy Taylor. I think he was Peterborough based so he would have been well within our catchment. Whatever happened to him?

Yes KON, I do know you were talking about a different Raynor, but your post just got me thinking.

Back on topic of the England squad - Chris Smalling - really?
