May have the second longest pier does it reach any water even when the tides in. I remember thinking you had to catch a bus from the seafront to the sea, it was a hell of a long walk. Great Victorian shopping fronts on what I think was Lords Walk/Road.

It is rare that the tide reaches the ridiculously expensive sea wall & there is now a bus (well a tram) that goes from the prom' to the end of the pier! There is a bit of money being spent on town, inc Lord Street.

Aah Lord Street, that's it. Got a pair of shoes their abot 10 years ago, still giving good service. Visited Martin Meere but didn't go in 'cos I thought it was very expensive for the few hours I had spare.
