.......and yet we sang his praises - and how we sung them! - when he won us the Conference. Now 11 years later, some are saying he "couldn't cut it" and I am "mental"! In football, you are soon yesterday's man! "Times they are a changing"! I still thank Daryl for the time he was with us and what he achieved for the club. His goals got us the opportunity to play in the Football League.

Pure quality when he won us the Conference title all those years ago...and then we let him go for zilch! Could have been a potential £1M striker but did the rounds at Conference/League 2 level and never gave himself the chance to prove himself as a Championship player. He HAS still got it though! A little surprised he's not re-joined Pilgrims for a 3rd spell. :bunny

£1m for Daryl Clare? Are you mental?

OK. Why not? Having seen the overinflated priced players out there, why not Daryl? £1M is not much for a League player nowadays.

Shouldn't have to PAY someone to keep a simple website up-to-date! Surely they must be a supporter who can update for free? I dunno - people want paying for everything! So much for Cameron's Big Society!!!!

He was class, quality, a natural goal scorer and a match winner. We should never forget that.

Yep. Looking at the Boston Town site, it is no way as good as Boston United's Official Site - thanks to the efforts that Craig goes to. I cannot understand why MOST clubs allow there websites to become out of date with useless information. Pure laziness and poor administration? Town still have Stoner registered as a Striker - I thought he'd been released through injury! :bunny

I don't know about others, but I found this a really interesting posting by Scouse! It just goes to show how easy it is for businessmen to continue to conduct their affairs regardless of any previously failed or otherwise ventures they may have been party to. Truly scary stuff.

It was contrived as Colwyn Bay did not accept a replacement linesman for 7 minutes!!!

Justice - but SHAME on The FA for replaying the tie when quite clearly Colwyn Bay had contrived the abandonment in the first place.

Blatant non compliance by Colwyn Bay to get tie completed. FA should use common sense and award tie to Alty.

This is THE end for Ashley Timms. Right Club at the wrong time or vica versa? Who knows. Best of luck to new keeper Lewis King.

Carlo Nash - veteran 3rd choice keeper at Norwich - for a loan period? However, I don't think Ashley Timms will be going anywhere for some time and will start in the next game for the 1st team.

The reserves have been proven to be not good enough for Skrill North, I don't know why you still seem to think they are in the face of the overwhelming evidence thats gone before.

The bar's been raised this season, the quality level has gone up several notches and unless we get a catastrophic run of injuries I can't see any reserves making the grade.

Bit personal isn't it, mate?! Of course the Reserves as a team won't compete in the "Conference" North! However, they have produced AND will continue to produce players who CAN play in the first team. Why not come down and support the 2nd string sometime? You may find it a refreshing change. Everybody who puts on a BUFC shirt, whether it be 1st, 2nd, Youth or Scholar teams deserves our support.

Great result for the second string! A 2-0 win at The Wong with goals either half from Orrey and Thompson respectively, the latter following up his own penalty miss. Very windy!!! Good solid performance from Vinno's Boys shutting out the home side's experienced strikers Bent and Edwards. Andy Hewitt had a great game - a call up to the first team squad in light of today's events at Brackley?  :bunny
