The B-Ark / Pilgrims web site
« on: August 28, 2013, 08:22:41 PM »
Does anyone else find our website really poor? every time I try to listen to an interview I get other non descript talking from other reports over the top, making it impossible to follow the interview I want to hear. I think I'll just forget our website in future, great shame. >:(

The twitter is pathetic, just a waste of time sitting about waiting for very little information. I still think the old BU webb site was far better than the current one. :(

Can't leave Ross out, he's a class player that controls the midfield with his passing and footballing skills on the ground. Also Miller has proved himself with his pre-season performances. Hope our injured players are back. Looking forward to Saturdays game.  ;D

The B-Ark / Re: Plans for new ground
« on: July 27, 2013, 12:36:04 PM »
Some really good posts on this one folks. Good one SB. I think the best area for the new ground would be around the athletics stadium off Sleaford road. The opposing teams and fans wouldn't have to do battle with John Adams Way and the town. Also would cut out any troublemakers from disturbances in the town. Also most people using hotels ( ie: salesmen and travellers ) if a hotel is incorporated, come from that side of town, making it easy to get in and out of this area. :bunny  The downside of a ground on the Skegness side of town is the traffic problems getting to and from the ground again because of John Adams Way. :bunny

We desperately need someone a lot better than Sanders or Nuttel up front. Neither are in the same league as Jones. They are both okay at reserves level, but we need someone with experience. In the matches so far both players seemed lost at what to do when in good positions. At last the defence is looking good , with solid central defenders and two good fullbacks with pace and skill. Ross is showing his class in midfield getting the team to play good passing football. Give the team a few matches together after swopping and changing of pre season and I think we have a good team. Looking forward to the season already.  :) :) :)

I remember playing for Boston Boys with shirts like that. Not keen on going retro, but at least the AMBER is the right colour, not yellow as the chanters believe is the colour. We have never been yellow in colour ( or spirit ).  :bunny

In my playing days and I believe now, players are paid traveling ex's ,so wages would be clear of traveling costs.

Sad to see Gareth go, one of our better players. All the best Jelly for the future. Won't easily be replaced. :(

Both fullbacks i'm afraid were getting well beaten, both lacked pace. Watts had poor game . Lister was the type of player at the back we have been needing, strong and a grafter, also good in the air, a good central defender alongside Stainfield. Those two would be my central defenders. Milnes had an okay game, but lacked his usual sharpness. Right midfield Walker? seemed lost most of the game . The new lad from Peterborough came on for Walker? and looked very useful. Foster had a great game, very solid workmanlike performance. Although we did up our attack for the last 15minutes, we didn't get enough shots on goal to worry their goalkeeper. I liked Haystead the first time he played for us, last season, but now he just isn't commanding his area, and making too many mistakes that is costing us. We played our best when we played the ball on the ground. All in all we did okay but as the school report goes, should have done better.
