Sheff Utd would be a good move, I could see him getting a chance there sooner rather than later.

Anyone but Grimsby and Creepy please Shaun.

and while I'm on one, who had the brilliant idea of sticking Bishop's Stortford in the BS North for next season.

Workington and Blyth away in midweek then!

No wonder clubs are going to the wall, if its not idiots like Swann paying stupid wages for journeymen its league administrators making hole in the head decisions like than.....we'll be one of their local derbies!!

The B-Ark / The Conference and Scouseport
« on: June 11, 2011, 01:01:59 PM »
So it seems we're going to be a team light again next season thanks to Rushden being kicked out of the Conference and Southport taking their place.

And who should be a big hitter on the Conference management committee?

Why its only Southport's Chairman.......

So fair play and impartiality rules supreme......

Why are these league committees filled with people who have vested interests in participating clubs? Surely there should be a degree of impartiality and transparency?

Or is it just non league is full of little tinpot dictators full of their own self importance?

Who Cares?

His track record suggests he'll be off to pastures new, he doesn't stay anywhere long does he?

And why no mention of the departures of the mercenaries to Grimity on the O/S?

The B-Ark / A great old photo
« on: June 06, 2011, 10:18:11 PM »

Its taken in front of the old main stand where there was a small terrace in front of the seats for those not old enough to remember a pre redevelopment York St.

Its late 40's or early 50's, Dad's brother found it, he's in the picture. And look at the face on the old boy 2nd from left behind the barrier, if thats his entertainment God help him when he wasn't enjoying himself!

Looks like owning a cap and hat shop in Boston would have been a shrewd business move back then....!!!

I can only wish Anthony and Keiron well in the future, both have been simply 1st class for us and they will be both missed massively. Both will get snapped up in no time by a Woking, a Gravesend or a Hayes down there. And very good luck to them too, neither will look out of place in the Conference.

Compare and contrast with that grasping clown who's gone to Grimity for nothing more than a few extra quid........don't kid us Yeats, its all about money, pure and simple. They've won feck all in the 33 years I've been watching BUFC and while that clown Swann keeps chucking silly money at average performers its going to be another 33 at least before they get anywhere. A new experience eh.......whats that then, playing in front of 300 at home in stead of 1,300?

If thats going to be the yardstick then I'll ask for my season ticket money back!

(cue the not a real fan rent a mob) I'm joking.........

Seriously, what would he bring to the side other than tired old legs?

If we cannot do any better than JJ then Dave's made the wrong choice of manager, young and hungry players have served us well over the last 2 years, lets have some continuity, not back to the bad old days of washed up old pro's here for a bit of easy money.

The B-Ark / Programme needed
« on: May 31, 2011, 08:07:00 AM »
I'm now down to wanting 1 AWAY programme from season 1978/9 to our last season as a league club.

22.11.97 v Spennymoor

If anyone has a copy they don't want give me a shout please.

That collection covers every game played for us by both Cookie and Bazza (save for the aways by Bazza on his return) so its fairly comprehensive.

As always any pre 1970's items are always desired, drop me a pm if you have anything of interest.

Pearson. A legend?

Hardly!

Good player for sure.

Be a shame if he joined that cunt though, I couldn't see his career going very far there.

Legends stay at a club years like Tex,Bazza and Cookie, not use it as a stepping stone.

Glad he's gone, I thought he was a bottler who went hiding too often.

Shown his true colour's there, it has to be about money, who'd go there for anything other than the cash that clown Swann chucks about?

Why should he respond on an UNOFFICIAL forum?

Why indeed?

But then again they (the club) are quick enough to use this UNOFFICIAL forum as a means of drumming up punters for OFFICIAL club events and theme nights in the Social club...........

Its a two way thing, the club really don't want to start taking the immense goodwill people have for the club for granted or the hand that feeds may bite.

Darren Stride's the player released.

We don't want old men, we need keen hungry lads like the last 2 seasons.
