Looks a good fit to be fair.

However as far as building for the future goes........

Baz,JL, LC, Jelly,Whitey,Austin,Armstrong........ all the wrong side of 30 and none getting any younger.

Yeah, yeah, I'm being negative again......blah,blah.........its a point worth noting though.

its awfully quiet on here.......... :D :D :D

As I said its a long way from being a play off quality side but its an improvement on the last game I came to.

Lets take that village side to the cleaners next week and get a bit more confidence running through the team, we all know good results breed confidence.

Its just a shame it took so long to sort things out really......and it also shows the utter folly of the lazy and shambolic recruitment policy of the summer......

Much better today, amazing how a couple of young, hungry lads can make the difference......lets hope the loan of Burrows can be extended, he looks very promising. And good to see the winner come after the side had withstood a bit of pressure from a very good Droylsden side.

We're not the finished article by a long way but there's something to work with where 3 weeks ago there was just a mess.

Everyone's gates were down last night, look at some in the Carling Cup. Its a question of finance and a lot of people don't have the money for 2 games in 8 days. Throw in the poor form and the rotten weather plus some of us season ticket holders using a midweek as a 'free' game and 800 wasn't bad........I can think of about 19 clubs in our division who'd be delighted with that on a wet Tuesday night.

Midweek is generally a time for low gates, the hope is we get 300+ back on Saturday, I can't see that being below 1000. If it is we've got a problem.

I think it shows that the summer recruitment policy was hopeless to be honest.......Joachim gone and how many goals between Suarez and Stones.....? Just remember we've played a quarter of our fixtures already and we've only just got our first home win.

Still, we'll hopefully see what the lad's all about on Saturday.

If this rain carries on as threatened we'll do well to pull 800 tonight, never mind 900.....

If you think a striker or two will fire us into the play offs you must watch a different game to me......

We are constantly over run in midfield, there's no creativity, Semple hides for most of the game and The Captain and his First Mate on the touchline stand there like a pair of tailors dummies.

Face facts;
The chairman went for the cheap option as he's no longer propping the club up with his cash (which he has every right to do) and its backfired. My question to Dave Newton and the board is why did we advertise for managers with experience of Evo Stick Level and above and yet we appoint these two with no discernible experience other than taking over Shorty and Shouty's excellent squad and overseeing ultimate failure in the play offs?

Today's game was always going to be tough, they all will be now because we're sinking like a stone and all this nonsense about the play offs will be replaced by talk of relegation which will become a reality unless these two's services are quickly dispensed with.

The folly of the cheap option will show in Tuesday gate which will struggle to pass 900 after another shameful attacking 'performance' this afternoon.

Unlucky?

One was a sitter, the other he had all the goal to aim at and he put it at a very comfortable height for the goalkeeper to deal with.

Not since Willie Gamble have I seen such a hapless excuse for a centre forward in a Boston shirt.

He's not good enough, most people can see that, why can't the management?

Should we be surprised any more at such lack luster signings?

Its taking the piss quite frankly if they think signing UCL level lads to go straight into a mid table (at the moment) BSP side will work........let alone bring back the missing hundreds.

How much longer is this farce going to be allowed to continue?

Until we're a UCL side too.......?
